Buffalo, NY – An historic building in the town of West Seneca was consumed by fire Thursday afternoon.
Fire broke out at the Heritage Inn on Union Road around 3:00. Reports say the fire started in the kitchen of the restaurant and may have been caused by an electrical malfunction. No one was hurt.
Twenty fire companies responded to the fire. The building was demolished late Thursday night.
It was one of the original buildings of the hamlet of Middle Ebenezer in the mid-19th century. The building served as the hamlet's book-bindery.
