Buffalo, NY – It's Buffalo's favorite time to celebrate the arts. Buffalo's finest theatres, dance troupes and musicians begin trotting out their seasons' finest Friday night with Curtain Up. Then, Saturday night the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra adds its voice to the symphony of celebration. Guest violinist and violist Pinchas Zukerman joins Maestra JoAnn Falletta kicking off the new season.
The new season begins after a nearly breathless period for the orchestra. The BPO's whirlwind schedule has included a trip to Carnegie, recording and a series of outdoor concerts. Recent months have also meant times of tremendous change for the BPO, with a new Executive Director signed and Music Director Falletta agreeing to stay. Falletta says she's eager to see what comes next.
