Buffalo, NY – State Police continue to investigate a fatal accident in Buffalo along a section of the Niagara Thruway earlier Tuesday morning.
A road crew worker was struck and killed by a on the Southbound 190 between Clinton and Smith Streets.
State Police Captain Mike Nigrelli tells WBFO News a work crew from local striping company called Accent Stripes was painting lines along the road when the fatality occurred.
The worker killed has been identified as 27 year old David Baldi of Hamburg.
State Police say Baldi was killed instantly.
The Thurway Authority shutdown all southbound lanes between Exits 4 (Smith Street) and 3 (Seneca Street - Route 16) along the 1-190 for several hours. The lanes reopened after 10'o'clock Tuesday morning.
