As city of Buffalo's eighth graders are trying to decide where they will go to high school, the Buffalo Public School District will be show-casing five new choices Saturday morning in Bennett High School.
The North Buffalo school will be getting a computer sciences program, as one of the five. Schools
Schools Superintendent Kriner Cash said the schools will be good learning environments and make students want to do well academically.
Cash said Say Yes Buffalo may be offering incentives.
"They're starting to get rooted in and get traction where more and more students and families are understanding that if their child attends school at a high rate, they do well, they do their best, that they'll have a scholarship waiting for them after high school," Cash said.
"There aren't many places in this country where you can offer that for every student in the district."

Besides the Bennett program, South Park High School is getting an advanced manufacturing program for solar panels, East High School for law enforcement fields, Lafayette for immigrant students who are having trouble with English and there will be a life sciences bioinformatics research program inside UB's Center for Bioinformatics on the Medical Campus.
The showcase runs 9 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday.
