Applications are now being accepted for New York State's Excelsior Scholarship for the 2022-23 academic year.
The scholarship, in combination with other aid programs, allows eligible full-time students to attend a SUNY or CUNY two-year or four-year college tuition free.
Eligibility requirements include a household federal adjusted gross income of up to $125,000 during 2020, the completion of 30 credits per year for their program of study, including summer and winter classes, and be on track to graduate on time with a two-year associate's degree or four-year bachelor's degree.
More than $190,000 state residents are currently attending SUNY or CUNY tuition free through the Excelsior Scholarship. Completed applications are due by the end of August.
