A pair of independent tests are supporting neighbors complaints regarding a crematory in the Town of Tonawanda.
The State Department of Environmental Conservation and the University at Buffalo ran a variety of tests and confirmed that particulate matter from the Amigone Funeral Home crematory on Sheridan Drive is in the soil of neighboring residences. Many approaches have been taken to address complaints about this discharge with no success.
The business claims that moving the crematory would be too expensive at this time, though that is agreed to be the best alternative.
