The brunt of the recent winter storm has past, but some light snow showers will continue across Western New York Saturday. The Winter Storm Warning has been lifted, and plows have cleared most of the major thoroughfares, but some side roads remain slick and snow covered. The deepest snows were recorded in Niagara and Orleans Counties with some areas reporting 14 inches by storm's end. Many flights have been canceled as the storm continues to batter the New England region.
Governor Cuomo has declared a State of Emergency for the downstate area including New York City.
