The Buffalo Sabres have chosen forward Brendan Lemieux with the first pick of the 2nd round in the NHL draft. Lemieux is the son of NHL great Claude Lemieux. He is an 18-year-old left winger with the Barrie Colts with a strong scoring touch.
Lemieux was thought to be a first round talent. He claims that his fall to the second round has lit a fire in him and that he is excited to have been chosen by Buffalo.
