Amherst Police are reporting an arrest in a recent bank heist. Nicholas A. Piraino has been charged with robbery and grand larceny in connection with a hold-up earlier this week at a Citizens Bank on Sheridan Drive in Amherst. The 25-year-old Piraino will be arraigned in Town Court today.
Amherst Police are crediting the North Tonawanda Police and the Erie County Probation Department with assisting in the arrest.
