Despite being outnumbered, Erie County Republicans expect success in November

Democrats enjoy a significant edge over Republicans in Erie County when it comes to party affiliations among registered voters. As Buffalo News Political Reporter Bob McCarthy analyzed during his weekly discussion with WBFO, that advantage often comes up short on Election Day. Republicans are favored to hold onto three countywide posts in November: County Clerk, County Comptroller and Sheriff.

Outside of public media, he continues in longstanding roles as the public address announcer for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League and as play-by-play voice of Canisius College basketball.
