The Buffalo Bills are preparing for their first preseason game tonight after an interesting week at training camp that included an apology from one of the team's new additions.

Linebacker IK Enemkpali joined the Bills this week after being released from the New York Jets following a locker room altercation that resulted in a broken jaw for Jets quarterback Geno Smith.

Initial reports said Enemkpali sucker punched Smith, but new details suggest that Smith may have provoked the incident.

Despite that,  Enemkpali issued an apology at training camp, but he never mentioned Smith by name.

"I want to apologize to the Jets organization, the fans, my teammates and the coaches," said Enemkpali. "I apologize for what happened, should have never happened, should have walked away from the situation. It was never my intention to hurt anybody. I'm just very grateful for Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills organization for giving me the opportunity to further my career here in 2015.I'm very grateful and thankful and happy to be a Bill. I look forward to being a good teammate, an accountable player and an accountable teammate to this organization. Just happy to be here and thankful."

The locker room altercation reportedly occurred after Smith refused to repay Enemkpali $600 for a plane ticket to Enemkpali's football camp, which Smith missed for personal reasons.
