Niagara County IDA

A Town of Niagara start-up that focuses on maintenance and repairs to small, privately-owned aircraft in the region is getting a boost from a microloan program run by the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency. The firm, Falcon Aircraft Maintenance LLC, will operate out of the Niagara Falls International Airport.

It wasn’t all that long ago when properties that neighbored Niagara Falls International Airport were viewed as a development nightmare in some quarters. They sat there with little interest. Times have changed. Two recent, high-profile projects have changed that scenario.

A handsome incentive package coupled with an aggressive approach by the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency were key swing factors that led to Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastics Inc. moving forward with a $41.5 million expansion of its Town of Niagara operations.
